SOLD “Down the Bayou”

This piece was inspired by my drives to Point aux Chenes… one of my favorite places to unwind. I’d load up my little SUV with a book, my dog, and some chicken on a string, then head down the bayou to the dock. I’d toss out the crab cages and let the traps line the water while the sun set behind me.

Those quiet evenings, with the water rippling, the traps bobbing, and the sky turning to fire, were some of my favorite pastimes. It’s the simple Louisiana moments, family, sunset drives, and crabbing trips, that inspired this painting.
